Captain Tony Notaro

Captain Tony Notaro, owner of Lucky Hook Charters, has been at the helm of the Lucky Hook since 2007 and the Lucky Lady since 2014. He has been fishing for 55 years, starting as soon as he could hold a fishing rod and has never stopped. Fishing is truly his passion and he loves being on the water with others on a daily basis and sharing the knowledge of the sport with everyone. He enjoys watching his clients’ faces light up, both young and old, when they feel that tug on their line and the suspense while reeling in their catch to see what they have caught.

Captain Mike Tenedine

Captain Mike Tenedine started fishing at a young age and has been fishing for 55 years in both freshwater and saltwater. He has been friends with Captain Tony for 45 years. Along the way, they have had many fishing adventures fishing in Long Island Sound and beyond in the Canyon for shark/tuna. Mike’s passion is shark fishing and he would be thrilled to put you on a shark, so please join Captain Mike for a day on the water.

Mate Rob Banti

Rob Banti enjoys offshore fishing and the excitement of a customer hooking onto a shark for the first time. Rob also enjoys fishing in Long Island Sound for the perfect black sea bass or fluke. His goal is to make sure customers get fish and have a great fishing experience. On his days off you will find him fishing. Join him for a day of offshore or inshore fishing with Lucy Hook Charters!

Mate Rob Gillis

Rob Gillis grew up on the shores of Long Island Sound, where, as a kid, he took every opportunity to get on the water with his father. Rob enjoys getting to know the customers on every trip, and he is also in the process of earning his six-passenger captain’s license. On his off days, you can find Rob fishing with fellow mates, Chris and Jason. Whether it be shark fishing or catching stripers, he is always up for a full day on the water. In the offseason Rob trades in his fishing rod for skis as a competitive alpine ski racer at Bates College.

Mate Chris Hopkins

Chris aka “Goose” started out working at various bait and tackle shops and multiple charter boats at an early age. His passion for the sport runs deep and he enjoys bringing the thrill of the water and fishing to anybody he meets. He has had the opportunity to fish next to some of the best anglers New England has to offer and cannot wait to share that experience and knowledge with everyone aboard Lucky Hook Charters.

Mate Bill Anderson

Bill Anderson started fishing at 3 years old and has been hooked ever since. Bill enjoys freshwater fishing and fishing in Long Island Sound for fluke, sea bass, weak fish, and whatever other treasure the ocean holds. Bill started as a loyal customer with Lucky Hook Charters, fishing on the Lucky Lady almost every weekend. He decided to join the team in 2019, and takes pride in helping first time fishermen how to fish and seeing the excitement of landing their first fish. Bill is looking forward to another great season of fishing on Lucky Hook Charters!

Mate Matt Pray

Matt grew up in Haddam, CT and found a passion for fishing in and amongst the tidal waters of the Connecticut River. Fishing for Striped Bass has become one of his favorite pastimes as he has begun the transition into the different areas of saltwater fishing. He is with us for the Summer, as he works toward his Third Assistant Engineer’s license at the Massachusetts Maritime Academy during the school year.
